Located in the town centre, the historic Castle Park is a superb outdoor space where thousands can gather to enjoy a host of events throughout the summer months. From Tom Jones and Craig David to the Colchester Food and Drink Festival and Oktoberfest, visitors come from far and wide to enjoy world class entertainment. Find Castle Park

Colchester Events supports the Council's declaration of a climate emergency and net zero emissions target by 2030, and the need for us all to reduce the environmental impact of our lifestyles. One way we can do this is by travelling by walking, cycling or using public transport, rather than cars where possible. Please see the information about travelling to our event locations by walking, cycling and using public transport. Information is also listed about parking where this is necessary.

Castle Park is a short walk from the town centre, with great local bus links and within walking distance of Colchester North and Colchester Town Station.

By Bike

There are plenty of bike stands at most entrances to Castle Park as well as in the town centre. You can download the Colchester Cycle Map from the Cycle Colchester website, or use one of our suggested routes on this map

By Bus

The 2, 2A, 87 and S10 buses all stop at The George (High Street), a 5 minute walk from Castle Park. Colchester Town Centre is well served by most buses, stopping within a 10 minute walk of Castle Park.

The Park & Ride at Junction 28 of the A12 is a quick 15 minute bus journey to the town centre.
